Just two years ago, New Yorker Rachel Glass was searching for a quick nail salon to suit her busy lifestyle. Unable to find the space she was looking for, she decided to create her own: Glosslab!

"I worked in hedge fund fundraising for 10 years and was always in search of a quick, clean manicure as a part of my busy lifestyle. I always felt like manicures were errands; a very joyless and inefficient experience. I talked about recreating the nail space for years. After having my second daughter and ultimately leaving the busy world of finance, I decided to make it happen!"

Glosslab has redefined the manicure industry, offering quality and convenient nail services for women on-the-go. The entire salon is completely clean and waterless, which helps prevents bacteria while helping out the environment.

Additionally, the salon offers monthly memberships for unlimited services, along with a variety of packages to suit each woman's needs. Each station is equipped with an iPad, and payment is completely cashless!

"Starting my own business was scary and crazy, but also so exciting. I've never worked harder in my life but I've also never had more fun!"

While there are currently two New York City locations, both in Flatiron and the West Village, Rachel has plans to open more.

"We have big expansion plans for Glosslab products, partnerships and locations. Stay tuned!"

"Create your own happiness. I'm happiest at home with my husband and daughters, at hot yoga, and at Glosslab!"
